Two years ago I sat on the edge of my bed reading my Bible. My Pastor had always encouraged us to take the Word personally, but even as I read with my own name in the scripture it seemed I was still talking about someone else. "For God so loved Juli . . ."
Suddenly it hit me. What if I translated the Scriptures into first person? Then it would truly become personal. "God loved me so much that He sent His only Son so that if I would believe in Him I wouldn't perish, but have eternal life." It was a God-idea and I knew it needed to be done.
After almost two years, MyBible: Standing On The Promises made it to press. I have taken promises from the Word of God, translated them into the first person, and placed them in easy-to-find categories. The integrity of the Holy Scriptures has not been compromised, but instead you will find the Word that you're so familiar with will unfold before your eyes in a new light.
The more personally you can take the Word, the more it will change your life. I encourage you to read it, absorb it, embrace it and believe it. God's Word is your passport to everything He has promised you. Take it personally!
